Bell Ringers
Bell Ringing, or Campanology, is a sociable hobby combining as it does physical exercise with mental challenges and teamwork. It is suitable for all ages, male and female.
The word campanology is from Late Latin campana, “bell“; and Greek -λογία, -logia. It is the study of bells which encompasses the technology of bells – how they are cast, tuned, rung, and sounded – as well as the history, methods, and traditions of bell–ringing as an art.

Bell Ringer Group Meetings
Every Friday evening the Walsham Ringers practice from 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm filling the village with sound of peeling bells.
Visitors are welcome to the bell ringing sessions to get feel for it if thinking about joining the group or just out of interest. The group is always looking for new recruits. Want to give it a go? Come along on a Friday evening!
The ringers also bring their talents to Sunday services and special occasions at St Mary’s.
